Weekend Flyer: Arkansauce, Trashcan Bandits, Will Brand, Razorback football, and more

It’s time for another weekend, everyone.

The Nace Brothers are in town for a happy hour performance at George’s on Friday night, and there’s a comedy night later on at the venue. Both events will take place on the new outdoor stage in the parking lot of the venue.

Also on Friday night, local favorites Arkansauce will play a happy hour show at the Walmart AMP in Rogers. Here’s more info about that.

TheatreSquared will be debuting a new show, “Heroes and Monsters” this weekend. It is a new play by LatinX Theatre Project, part of T2’s New Play Festival. The premier is Friday at 7 p.m., but it will be available to view through the weekend. Here’s more info.

On Saturday, there’s a morning yoga event at Prairie Street Live beginning at 9:30 a.m. featuring instructors from Trailside. Later that evening, the Trashcan Bandits will perform at the venue.

The Razorbacks will kick off their 2020 football season on Saturday, as they take on the No. 4 ranked Georgia Bulldogs at Razorback stadium. The stadium will be at limited capacity, and there’s no tailgating allowed on campus (for obvious reasons).

Mount Sequoyah will host another Music on the Mountain event on Saturday night featuring a performance by Will Brand. They’ll also have a barbecue competition on site, and attendees can help judge. Here’s more info.

Also on Saturday, the AMP is playing Guardians of the Galaxy, and locals The Juice are performing at George’s.
