Case update: Case update: Arkansas confirmed and probable COVID-19 cases increase by 807 Monday

The number of confirmed and probable COVID-19 cases in Arkansas increased by 807 on Thursday.

Of those, 786 are considered confirmed cases from PCR testing, and 21 are considered probable after detection by antigen tests.

There were 21 additional deaths, bringing the toll to 1,329.

Hospitalizations were down 35 to 496, and the number of Arkansans on ventilators increased by 13 to 99.

There are currently 7,142 total cases of COVID-19 considered active in the state, which includes those that have tested positive by both PCR and antigen testing methods. There are 82,049 inactive cases.

The state reported 7,056 new PCR tests, with only nine new Antigen tests on Monday.

The top counties for new cases on Thursday were Pulaski (74), Sebastian (37), Craighead (29), Garland (26), and Faulkner (25).
