Grab your popcorn, everyone. Movie nights at Walton Arts Center will continue in October.

WAC officials on Tuesday announced two more titles for their Saturday Cinema series, with animated feature Zarafa and Broadway musical movie 42nd Street set to screen at the venue Oct. 10.

From the announcement:

Inspired by the true story of the first giraffe to visit France, Zarafa is a sumptuously animated adventure, and a throwback to a bygone era of hand-drawn animation and epic storytelling set among sweeping CinemaScope vistas of parched desert, wind-swept mountains and open skies. Zarafa will be screened at 2 pm, and tickets are $10.

Captured in 2018 at London’s Theatre Royal, 42nd Street – The Musical, was directed by the original author of the show, Mark Bramble. It’s full of crowd-pleasing tap dances and popular musical theater standards including “Lullaby of Broadway”, “We’re in the Money”, “42nd Street” and more.

Zarafa will be screened at 2 p.m., and tickets will be $10. 42nd Street will be screened at 7 pm, and tickets are $15.

Tickets for these films go on sale to the public 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 29 and can be purchased by calling 479.443.5600 or by visiting waltonartscenter.org.
