Case update: Arkansas confirmed and probable COVID-19 cases increase by 417 Monday

The number of confirmed and probable COVID-19 cases in Arkansas increased by 417 on Monday.

Of those, 392 are considered confirmed cases from PCR testing, and 25 are considered probable after detection by antigen tests.

There were 21 additional deaths, bringing the toll to 1,447.

Hospitalizations were up 15 to 524, and the number of Arkansans on ventilators increased by four to 93.

There are currently 6,922 total cases of COVID-19 considered active in the state, which includes those that have tested positive by both PCR and antigen testing methods. There are 79,052 inactive cases.

The state reported 6,306 new PCR tests, with 845 new antigen tests on Monday.

The top counties for new cases announced Monday were Pulask (58), Washington, (34), Sebastian (28), Craighead (23), Benton (15), Crawford (15) and Faulkner (15).
