Fayettechill to move to former Fork and Crust building in Fayetteville

After several years on Dickson Street, Fayettechill is planning to move to a new location.

Owner Mo Elliot told us Wednesday he plans to move his retail store to the building at 600 N. Mission Blvd., formerly home to Fork and Crust Pie Co.

Elliot said the main factor that led the decision to move was his desire to own the real estate for his store after more than a decade renting from others.

The space, he said, also has its advantages, allowing for a more intimate setting for shopping with a fireplace, the ability to separate sections in different rooms in the house, an outdoor courtyard space, and others. Proximity to Mount Sequoyah and the historic district were also perks, he said.

Fayettechill started in 2009 when Elliot was still in college at the University of Arkansas. Since then, the company has grown from a local t-shirt company to a full-scale outdoor apparel lifestyle brand with regional distribution. The store has been located at 205 W. Dickson St. since 2014, when it moved into the space formerly home to Nightbird Books in the old Ozark Mountain Smokehouse building.

If all goes well, Elliot said he hopes to move into the new building sometime later this month.
