If you’re searching for a little Halloween cheer this week, local outdoor venue Prairie Street Live might have what you’re looking for.

The venue this week announced plans to host a pumpkin caring contest and family movie night tonight (Wednesday, Oct. 21).

Officials say they have a few pumpkins for attendees, but you can also bring your own or RSVP on Facebook to reserve a house pumpkin.

After the carving contest, the venue will show the film Coraline at around 7:30 p.m.

The event will begin at 4 p.m., and the contest will be judged at 6:30 p.m. Admission is $5 to enter, and the best pumpkin of the night will win the admission fees.
