It’s feeling a little like fall out there finally. Bundle up.
Friday starts with happy hour, and one of the last of the year is at the Walmart AMP on Friday with Fayetteville band, Honeyjack. It starts at 4:30 p.m. This weekend, the AMP will also host the AMP Fest To Go that we wrote about not too long ago. It includes virtual performances, a beer scavenger hunt, and more.
Also in happy hour news, locals Jesse Dean & Left of Center will kick off the weekend at George’s on Friday night at 6 p.m. Later on, Opal Agafia & The Sweet Nothings will perform at around 9 p.m. Friday, and there’s a comedy night with Raj Suresh & Friends at George’s on Saturday night.
How about a movie? Walton Arts Center will continue their Saturday film series this weekend with a showing of High Anxiety at 2 p.m. and The Birds (the classic Hitchcock version) at 7 p.m.
Mount Sequoyah has music on Friday night with Route 358, and on Saturday with the experimental/avant-garde music of Cellophane Garden (Kevin Blagg) & Untight (Sam King).
Praire Street Live also has music this weekend, with TryMoreMOJO at 7 p.m. on Friday night, and an open mic by the guys from Deepwood Studio on Saturday.
A new local theatre company will perform a brand new show for a limited in-person (and streaming online) audience next week. The new company is called The What, and they’ll perform an experimental new show titled Blue Marble (or the Owen play) outdoors near the B Unlimited Building at 612 W. Center Street in Fayetteville. Details.
There’s more below, and as always, feel free to let us know what we missed on the comments. Have a good weekend, y’all.
