A change is coming to the intersection at Church Avenue and Mountain Street in downtown Fayetteville.
Crews are scheduled to install all-way stop signs at the intersection on Monday, Nov. 9. The intersection currently only includes stop signs for north-south traffic on Church Avenue.
The change is part of a sidewalk renovation project on Church Avenue between Mountain and Spring streets. The work is part of a 2019 voter-approved bond project aimed at improving walkability in downtown Fayetteville, and includes adding wider sidewalks, curb ramps, crosswalks, and more.
Construction is scheduled to be completed by the end of the year.
