Weekend Flyer: Dandelion Heart album release, Dial Up, Randall King, Fayetteville Film Fest, and more

  • By Dustin Bartholomew · Friday, Nov 6, 2020

Dandelion Heart

This weather has been nothing short of glorious these past few days, and it looks like we’ve got more of that ahead this weekend. Hope y’all get to enjoy some of it.

Like pretty much everything else, Fayetteville Film Festival is going virtual this year, and you can check out premiers of films for this year’s festival online beginning this weekend. This year’s festival is available on a pay-what-you-can basis. Here’s more info.

It’s going to be a beautiful weekend for some outdoor music. George’s has some beginning on Friday evening for happy hour with One for the Monday. Later on, they’ve added a show with local party band Dial Up at around 9 p.m on Friday night, and Saturday they have a performance by Randall King. Ticket info for this weekend is here.

The Razorback football team is back in town for a matchup with SEC foe Tennessee on Saturday night. Kickoff is at 6:30 p.m., and the game will be televised by the SEC Network.

Also Saturday night, Former Fayettevillians and current Little Rock band DOT will celebrate the release of Welcome To The DOTosphere with a live streamed virtual event through their social media channels (Facebook or Instagram) this Saturday, Nov. 7 at 7 p.m. “DOT TV” will consist of performances and commentary. Here’s more about that.

The annual Fayetteville Half Marathon is happening on Sunday beginning at Walker Park. Here’s more about that.

Also on Sunday, locals Dandelion Heart will play an early show at 1 p.m. at Prairie Street Live. The band will be celebrating the release of their new album with a brunch show. The Birthday Boyz and Jamie Lou and the Hullabaloo are also on the bill. Their new record, Retrospect, is now available on streaming services. Here’s more info.

There’s more below. Have a great weekend, everyone. Stay safe.
