A change is coming to the intersection at Persimmon Street and Salem Road in west Fayetteville.

Crews are scheduled to install all-way stop signs at the intersection on Tuesday, Dec. 22. The intersection currently only includes stop signs for north-south traffic on Salem Road.

The stop signs are being installed because increased development in the area has added more vehicle traffic, according to a news release. Crosswalks are also being installed to facilitate safer pedestrian and bicycle access to Centennial Park and commercial amenities near Wedington Drive.
