With the Cultural Arts Corridor set to begin construction soon off Dickson Street, and the newly-expanded Fayetteville Public Library nearing completion, there’s a lot to be excited about in downtown Fayetteville at the moment.

Now, there’s a new place to live in the middle of all that excitement. Scott Ventures, owned by locals, recently announced the completion of a new 10 unit, 2 bedroom, 2.5 bath urban townhome development in the heart of the Dickson Street entertainment district and Cultural Arts Corridor.

The company partnered with local architects Matthew Hoffman of MBL Planning and Casey Hoffman of Casa Bianca Design, and local contractor Baumann & Crosno for the project.

The new townhomes, located behind TheatreSquared at 115 and 117 North School Avenue just a block off Dickson and three blocks from the new-and-improved Fayetteville Public Library, are now available for lease and will offer easy-access to all the dining, entertainment, and other amenities downtown Fayetteville has to offer.

“The opportunity to help bring human-scaled urban design back into our downtown is something that we were very excited about with this project,” said Matthew Hoffman, of MBL Planning. “We aspire above all to create buildings that embody good citizenship – adding beauty to streetscapes while giving people the opportunity to live, work, and play in the heart of our town. We’re thankful to Scott Ventures and Baumann & Crosno for delivering on this promise, and we look forward to watching this project thrive as part of the Cultural Arts Corridor.”

The project, named Act One is a nod to the theatre and entertainment amenities nearby. The idea, according to partner Zeb Scott, was to create an urban in-fill living space utilizing timeless architecture near the City of Fayetteville’s new Cultural Arts Corridor.

“We were committed to building a place that met the needs of Downtown Fayetteville and the Cultural Arts Corridor from the moment we began designing Act One,” Zeb said. “In doing so, we wanted to mix a New Orleans courtyard feel with the surrounding arts and entertainment district, but also create functional urban space for professionals who wanted to live close to where they worked. I’m proud to say that I truly believe we’ve accomplished all of those things.”

The new units feature on-site parking for vehicles and bicycles, but are close enough to downtown amenities that they will also be highly walkable as well.

The units feature high-grade materials and high-quality construction and workmanship. Privacy and comfort were also a consideration in the new project, Zeb said, with each unit offering a secluded feel to compliment the prime urban location. There’s also a hidden courtyard provided on the property to provide a gathering space for residents and guests.
