It’s still winter. We are still in the midst of a global pandemic. But there are still a few things happening in and around Fayetteville, including some virtual events you could check out as well.

For music, George’s has a show featuring local funky dudes, 1 Oz. Jig. It’s a happy hour show, beginning at around 5:30 p.m. Also this weekend, George’s has country artist Cam Spinks performing on Saturday night. Ticket information for those shows is available here.

Also in tunes, JJ’s on Dickson Street has live music by Jenna & Friends on Friday night, and Steve Dimmit on Saturday. AS always, those shows are free.

There’s a new art show opening at Fenix Gallery on Friday. It’s called Shelter Exhibition, and it features work by Byron Keith Byrd and Stefani Byrd that “explores themes related to home, protection, safety, and seeking refuge from the unknown.” Here’s more information about that.

In virtual shows, your best bet this weekend is probably TheatreSquared’s latest, School Girls. It’s available on a stream-on-demand basis now through Valentine’s Day. Ticket information is available here.

The Razorback Men’s Basketball team is away this weekend, taking on the Oklahoma State Cowboys on Saturday at 3 p.m. It’s part of SEC/Big 12 Challenge, and it will be televised by ESPN2. Congrats to the women’s team, who took down No. 3 ranked UConn last night.

That’s all we’ve got for now, but as always, feel free to let us know about other happenings you know about in the comments below.
