Registration is now open for the 2021 Square to Square bike rides.

The upcoming spring event features a 30-mile trip that travels from Fayetteville to Bentonville on the Razorback Greenway, and is hosted by the city’s Parks and Recreation department.

The in-person spring ride will take place on Saturday, May 1, 2021. The event will be modified and limited to comply with COVID-19 safety precautions.

In addition to the in-person event, a virtual ride option will be offered during the month of May, which is National Bike Month. The virtual ride offers the opportunity for participants to complete a 15-mile or 30-mile ride anytime between May 2 and May 31.

Officials said despite not having an in-person event in 2020, participation in the virtual rides was strong, with 2,658 people participating in total.

Participants must register in advance and will receive a goody bag with a synthetic t-shirt, stainless steel mug, and finisher medal. Adults (ages 14+) can register for $35, while youth (ages 13 and under) can register for $20. A family of up to four household members can register for $60.

During the spring registration period, fall ride registration is also available. The fall Square 2 Square Bike Ride will take place on Saturday, Oct. 2, with a virtual ride option offered during the month of October.
