Temperatures dipped below zero early Tuesday as forecasters issued another Winter Storm Warning for the area.

The new system could bring as much as 10 inches of snow in some places, according to the National Weather Service. The warning will be in effect from 4 p.m. Tuesday (Feb. 16) through 6 a.m. Thursday.

Most of the accumulation is expected to occur Tuesday evening and overnight, with only light accumulations in most places on Wednesday, according to the service. Winds have diminished considerably, but air temperatures have fallen as low as 20 below zero.

Fayetteville Public Schools are only open for virtual classes on Tuesday. The University of Arkansas campus remains closed and bus service is still suspended.
