Shots have been going into arms, cases have been decreasing, and while we’re not out of the woods just yet, it seems like there’s hope on the horizon after a year living through the COVID-19 pandemic.

Another reason for optimism is that some of the local and regional musical artists that have become staples at George’s Majestic Lounge over the years are starting to book live performances again.

The venue last week announced a host of new shows scheduled for the spring and summer, including several artists that we haven’t seen in more than a year since the pandemic began.

The venue is still taking the safety of its guests seriously, and shows will take place both inside and outside the venue.

From the email announcing the new shows:

Spring is in the air and it feels like normal is coming sooner than later. George’s will continue to be responsible as we ease back into bringing more folks together. We will have a combo of indoor shows plus outdoor parking lot shows this spring when weather permits to help insure folks feel safe and comfortable. We hope that you will join us for a concert and are excited to announce a great spring line up!

Thank you for loving live music!

Among the shows released last week include a few touring acts, such as Charley Crockett on May 23, Todd Snider on June 2, and Kolby Cooper on April 30.

Local favorites we haven’t seen in a while are also on the schedule including Randall Shreve and the Devilles on April 17, Arkansauce on June 12 and The Cate Brothers on June 4.

The full lineup is below. Stay safe, everyone.
