Very slowly, steadily, after a year (mostly) without, live music is coming back.

And though it’s still going to be a little different for a while, it sure is a sound for sore ears to hear about shows coming to Fayetteville again.

Today, Fayetteville Roots Festival officials announced that legendary musician Del McCoury and his band will perform two nights of socially-distanced outdoor shows outside the Roots HQ on the square April 16-17.

In addition to the music, the venue will offer food and drink service including “a chef-curated menu of food & beverage for purchase via table service.”

Seating will be reserved at tables set up on the street.

A table for 2-4 ranges from $120 – $240.

According to the ticketing website, it looks as though future shows are in the works as well, including Sierra Hull Band on May 14th, John Fullbright on May 15 (sold out) and May 16th, John Moreland on June 4-5, Smokey and the Mirror on June 12, Tre Burt on June 18, Kalyn Fay on July 17, Mary Gauthier on July 18th (sold out), and Darrell Scott on July 30-31.
