The Jones Center to hosts free dinner drive through on April 6

The Jones Center and Civitas, Inc. will host a free dinner drive through event at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, April 6.

The event will take place in the northeast corner parking lot of the center’s campus at 922 E. Emma Ave. in Springdale.

A total of 300 complimentary meals will be provided to the public on a first come, first served basis.

The meals are a collaboration by Chef Rafael Rios of Yeyo’s Mexican Grill along with graduates from the Brightwater Center for the Study of Food, Chef Jennyfer Quijada, Chef Jesus Rodriguez and Chef Jose Soto-Rios.

The menu will feature a combination of Mexican and Salvadoran cuisine, including traditional carnitas, Salvadoran curtido, epazote black beans, a variety of specialty salsas and polvorones for dessert.

The public is invited to drive through, pick up dinner and participate in The Jones Center’s Phase 3 Campus Vision Survey. The survey is available in English, Spanish and Marshallese.

The center is seeking the community’s input as it reimagines its 52-acre campus. More info is available at jonescampusvision.com.
