One of the best (and only) yodelers we know will preview a new album and show some new paintings in Fayetteville this week.

Local musician and artist Nick Shoulders will debut his new album Home on the Rage at a limited-capacity event at Smoke & Barrel Tavern tonight (April 13).

Shoulders is known locally for his work in 2010s punk band Thunderlizards along with his designs on many of the cans at Fossil Cove Brewing Co., and his murals like the one in the alley at Little Bread Co.

After a stint in New Orleans, he is back in Fayetteville and has been hard at work on new music during the pandemic. We talked to him about some of this back in December.

The event will include a performance, a raffle for a painting by the artist, a listening party of the new record, and a record, tape, and t-shirt sale.

Tickets are $5, and it all starts at around 9 p.m.
