The Scott Family Amazeum’s outrageously fun UnGala FUNdraiser presented by Nabholz Construction is scheduled for Saturday, April 24, 2021, at the museum in Bentonville. After cancellation in 2020, this year’s event is twice the fun for adults 21 plus. Tickets on sale now at amazeum.org/events/ungala.
Known for introducing unique, large-scale experiences to Northwest Arkansas, this year the UnGala features Impulse, an interactive installation comprised of 12, 30-foot seesaws enabled with light and sound that changes when in motion. When activated through play, the seesaws create and ever-changing composition of dynamic light and sound. Impulse was created and executed by Lateral Office and CS Design, and produced by Quartier des Spectacles Partnership in Montreal, Canada.
The Amazeum UnGala also features NWA’s only 24-volt race corporate challenge where drivers compete on modified children’s ride-on vehicles.
UnGala is a hybrid in-person and virtual event this year to continue maintaining a safe, healthy environment at the Amazeum. The museum and one-acre outdoor Playscape feature one-of-a-kind, physically distanced-friendly experiences exclusive to the event from 2 to 5pm. A virtual play-a-long event takes place in the evening from 7 to 8pm. Guests can choose to access either or both of these options. The Amazeum is open to UnGala ticket holders only on Saturday, April 24.
Diversity of food and beverage options is another staple of the UnGala. Food will again be provided by famous NWA food trucks, and beverages from local craft brewers, vintners, and distillers. All UnGala guests receive a to-go box with food, beverages and a special at-home activity for the virtual event.
