Another day, another sign that live music is continuing to recover and return after a year of the pandemic.

This time, it’s the Fresh Grass festival in Bentonville, and the news that Billy Strings, Old Crow Medicine Show, and Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue will headline the event.

The festival is set for Oct. 1-2, and will take place on the grounds of The Momentary contemporary art space in Bentonville.

FreshGrass has been held annually at MASS MoCA museum in North Adams, Massachusetts, and had announced plans to hold a second event at the Momentary last spring, but of course, we all know what happened in 2020. The 2021 event this fall will end up being the inaugural Arkansas installment of the festival.

More artists are expected to be announced soon for the 2021 event, billed as “a two-day family friendly music festival celebrating bluegrass and roots music.”

In addition to the on-stage performances, the event will include workshops, a kids area, local food, jam sessions, and pop-up performances inside the Momentary.

Tickets go on sale for Momentary Members on May 6.
