JMBLYA 2021 festival coming to the Walmart AMP this fall

A one-day hip-hop festival is coming the Walmart AMP this fall.

JMBLYA 2021 is coming to the venue on Friday, Sept. 3, featuring 13 artists including Future, Gunna, The Kid Laroi, Lil Tecca, Flo Milli, Sofaygo, Phora, Spotemgottem, Trae Tha Truth, Cico P, Metro Marrs, Mike Dimes, and DJ Mr. Rogers.

JMBLYA is a reoccurring festival tour from Texas. Since 2013, the festival has hosted hip-hop-oriented music festivals with past acts like Chance The Rapper and Metro Boomin, and headliners like Future and Rae Sremmurd.

The NWA show will be headlined by Future. The Atlanta-based rapper won a Grammy for Best Rap Performance in 2019. He also has received numerous awards and nominations throughout his career as a rapper and musician.

Gunna is another big name on the bill. The artist, known for collaborations with Lil Baby and Young Thug, released his debut studio album, Drip or Drown 2, in early 2019 and released his second studio album Wunna in May 2020, which debuted the Billboard top 200.

The Kid Laroi, singer/rapper from Australia’s is known for his track Go, featuring Juice Wrld, which made he Billboard Top 100 last year.

Lil Tecca’s single We Love You Tecca reached number 4 on the US Billboard 200. His debut studio album, Virgo World, made it to number 10 on the Billboard 200 and included the Billboard Hot 100 charting songs “Dolly” and “When You Down.”

Flo Milli had her breakout on TikTok. Her singles “Beef FloMix” and “In The Party” went viral on the video sharing app, and she released her debut mixtape, Ho, Why Is You Here?, in 2020. She was also nominated for Best New Artist at the 2020 BET Hip Hop Awards. Sofaygo’s mixtape Angelic 7 includes his breakout song “Knock Knock,” which also grew popular on TikTok.

Phora has written and released eleven albums, Still a Kid, One Life to Live, Sincerely Yours, Nights Like These, Angels with Broken Wings, With Love, Heartbreak Hotel, and his debut album Yours Truly Forever.

Spotemgottem’s 2020 single “Beat Box”, reached number 12 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Trae Tha Truth established himself as a member of the Texas hip hop scene with his solo debut, Losing Composure, Same Thing Different Day, and Restless

Cico P’s recent single, Tampa went viral on TikTok in early 2021. Tampa also reached the top of the US Spotify Viral 50 chart, number 3 on Rolling Stone’s Breakthrough 25, and number 41 on Billboard’s Emerging Artists chart.

Metro Marrs, a singer-rapper from southside Atlanta, Georgia best known for his song, “Bye Felicia.”

Mike Dimes mixtape, Dlog is out now after its May 7 release.

DJ Mr. Rogers was nominated for Global Spin Awards for Regional Mixshow DJ of the Year and Club DJ of the Year in 2016 and has won the Houston Press Music Award for Best DJ.

It’s a big lineup.

Gates open at 3 p.m. The music starts at 4 p.m.

Tickets go on sale to the public Friday, June 11, at 10 a.m. Prices range from $65 to $249 plus applicable fees. Tickets are available by calling 479.443.5600, visiting www.amptickets.com or in-person at the Walmart AMP Box Office in Rogers. AMP Box Office hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays. Walton Arts Center’s Box Office remains closed to walk-up sales.
