Weekend Flyer: Super Regional, Dylan Earl, Arkansauce, and more

Hope you guys have one of those battery-operated fans with a little water sprizer on the end of it. You’re gonna need it this weekend. (It’s hot.)

The Diamond Hogs are back at Baum-Walker where they are just two wins from going back to Omaha for the College World Series. They’ll take on NC State in a best-of-three Super Regional series, with the winner moving on to the big dance of college baseball. The Friday game starts at 5 p.m., and Saturday’s matchup is at 3 p.m. A third game (if necessary) is set for Sunday at 5 p.m. Let’s do it, Hogs.

Local classic-rockers the Uncrowned Kings will kick off the weekend at George’s on Friday night during happy hour. Later on, there’s a country show with
Sam Riggs and The Powell Brothers, and on Saturday night, the venue will host a bluegrass bash with local heroes Arkansauce and Monk Is King. George’s also has a Sunday show with country artists Carolina Story and Joshua Ray Walker. Ticket info for George’s is on their website.

Local country band Dylan Earl and His Reasons Why will play the backyard at Kingfish on Friday night as well, followed by Justin Logan Trio on Saturday night, and The Dirty Seconds Band on Sunday.
