Happy Fourth of July weekend, everyone.
So, Thursday’s Arkansauce show as part of the Gulley Park Concert Series was postponed due to rain, but that loss is Friday’s gain in this case, because now the show will kick off the weekend. Music starts at 7 p.m., and it’s free.
Also this weekend, there’s a music festival happening over at The Farm in Eureka Springs. It’s called Spaceberry, and the headliners include Tauk, Big Something, Forgotten Space, Steady Flow, and several others. Here’s more info.
TheatreSquared’s new show, the musical version of the classic Roald Dahl story Matilda, continues its run at the new performing arts center inside Fayetteville Public Library. Here’s a review of the show, and you can find ticket info here.
George’s has a few shows this weekend, including Jim Mills Band to kick off the weekend for happy hour, followed by a country show with Jukebox Confession and Church Street on Friday night, and there’s a rock show Day After Mourning, The Order of Elijah and Fallen Gracefully on Saturday.
Independence Day is on Sunday, and while there isn’t a municipal-sponsored fireworks show in Fayetteville, there are always plenty of private shows visible in the skies over the city. There are also several shows scheduled around the region. Here’s our annual list of displays that we know about.
There’s more below. Enjoy some hotdogs or blowing up your little brother’s G.I. Joes or whatever your Fourth of July traditions are, everyone.
