If you thought the folks at the Walmart AMP were finished adding to their 2021 lineup, you were wrong, buddy.
Venue officials this week announced that R&B artist Gary Clark Jr. will perform at the AMP this fall on Saturday, Oct. 23.
The Austin-based artist is known for blending elements of blues, rock, soul and hip hop in his music. Clark won a Grammy in 2014 for his song Please Come Home, from his debut album Blak and Blu. His latest release, This Land debuted at No. 6 on the Billboard Top 200, marking his third Top 10 debut. The new record resulted in three more Grammy Awards, including Best Rock Performance and Best Rock Song for “This Land,” and Best Contemporary Blues Album.
Tickets to the show go on sale at 9 a.m. on Friday, July 23. Prices range from $29.50 to $59.50 (plus fees.)
