Weekend Flyer: Jerry Garcia Birthday Bash, Chamber Music on the Mountain, Darrell Scott, Rodney Crowell, and more

Do you know what time it is? It’s weekend time. Let’s do this.

This weekend kicks off with a happy hour show by local classic rockers Uncrowned Kings at George’s. After that, another local rocker, Ben Del Shreve, returns to the stage for a late night performance on Friday. On Saturday night, George’s will host their annual Jerry Garcia Birthday Bash with a Grateful Dead tribute featuring Crazy Neighbor and Isayah’s Allstars.

Also in tunes this weekend, Kingfish has a three-band bill on Friday night with Fair Trade, Michael Schembre, and Mitchell Twombly.

In a little bit different music news, Mount Sequoyah Center will host an installment of their Chamber Music on the Mountain series on Friday night with an outdoor classical music performance featuring a host of excellent musicians. Here’s more about that.

Also in outdoor tunes, acclaimed songwriter Darrell Scott will perform on the street stage outside Fayetteville Roots HQ on the square on Friday and Saturday night. On Sunday Night, fellow country singer/songwriter Rodney Crowell will be in town for a performance on that same stage.

Up in Bentonville, Fayetteville-based country artist Dylan Earl will perform as part of Crystal Bridges’ Forest Concert Series on Friday night.
