The Creative Spaces gallery at Mount Sequoyah is hosting a group show featuring work by more than a dozen local artists, and the gallery will host a reception in honor of the show this week.

The new show, titled ‘Impressions from the Mountain’ will be on display through Aug. 27. The reception is scheduled from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 5 at the gallery.

The show will feature work by artists Elizabeth Quinn, Rachel Allen, Taylor White, Robert Kampman, Cameron Thomas, Natalie Conway, Kellie Lehr, Jody Travis Thompson, Shelby Fleming, Fred Goss, Brenda Yelvington, Ryna Frankel, Joy Caffrey, Eliza Scudder, Sam King, and Acadia Kandora.

The show will go on despite the First Thursday Fayetteville festivities on the square being cancelled, but additional safety measures will be in place. Masks will be required indoors during the show, officials said.

Refreshments will be served, and artist’s studios on the grounds will be open. Organizers say they are encouraging attendees to bring their dogs to walk around and enjoy the grounds in honor of the “Dog Days” First Thursday theme.

Mount Sequoyah Center is located at 150 N. Skyline Drive.
