More direct flights to Florida were recently added to the list of destinations available from Northwest Arkansas National Airport (XNA).

Frontier Airlines will add service to Orlando on Nov. 1, and discount carrier Allegiant will begin nonstop service to Punta Gorda on Nov. 17.

“Northwest Arkansas is now connected to another fantastic leisure destination in Florida,” said Andrew Branch, chief business development officer at XNA. “Punta Gorda will offer NWA residents a warm destination option for the fall and winter months, and we thank Allegiant Airlines for the continual support in our market.”

One-way flights to Orlando start at $33, according to FlyFrontier.com.

Fares to Punta Gorda are listed as low as $43 for a one-way flight, according to the Allegiant website.

Airport officials also plan to add another option for direct flights to Houston, Texas. Allegiant will begin nonstop service to Houston on Nov. 19. United Airlines also offers direct service to Houston.
