Fayetteville animal shelter offers free adoptions all week

Orville is a 16-month-old mixed breed dog available at the Fayetteville animal shelter

The Fayetteville animal shelter will offer free pet adoptions from Aug. 23-27 as part of the annual Clear the Shelters event.

Because of the pandemic, the shelter is closed to walk-in traffic, but all pets are listed on the shelter’s website with multiple photos and information about each animal.

All adoptions are by appointment only and applicants must first submit an online application for review.

All available dogs, puppies, cats and kittens will be spayed or neutered, microchipped and vaccinated prior to going home with their new owners.

The shelter is located at 1640 S. Armstrong Ave. and is open from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. weekdays, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays.
