Local music promoter, show book-er and occasional Flyer contributor Roger Barrett has a new batch of shows coming up.

Barrett, through his On the Map show series, yesterday announced that Los Angeles-based indie band Illuminati Hotties and UK songwriter Fenne Lily will co-headline show at George’s Majestic Lounge . Katy Kirby, who’s also received critical acclaim for her debut album Cool Dry Place released earlier this year, is also on the bill.

Previously announced shows include indie harpist Mary Lattimore with ambient artist Ana Roxanne at Clapp Auditorium on Mount Sequoyah Dec. 12, artist collective Everything Is Terrible’s Kidz Klub film screening and live show at Clapp Auditorium on Feb. 11, and English post-punk band Shame at George’s Majestic Lounge on Feb. 19.

On the Map was also behind the sold-out Mountain Goats show at George’s last weekend.

Barrett has been behind several shows in Fayetteville featuring acclaimed indie acts over the years. In 2019, before the pandemic shut things down, the series was responsible for nine shows including the likes of Heart Bones (a collaboration between Har Mar Superstar and Sabrina Ellis), Torche, Black Belt Eagle Scout, Laura Stevenson, and several others.

Proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test will be required for entry to all of the above shows.
