A new event celebrating van life is coming to Fayetteville this fall.

The first ever Vanarchy in the Ozarks van rally is set for Sunday, Oct. 3 at Evelyn Hills Shopping Center.

The event will include adventure vehicles from around the region, whose owners will show off their custom creations in a car show-style event.

The rally will include food trucks, live music, and more, and awards will be given in several categories, like Best DIY Project, Best Multipurpose Design, and more.

“Whether you’re on your fifth van build or sleeping in your Chevrolet Spark and dreaming about van life in the future, we want you with us,” organizers said.

The event is produced by Vanarchy in the Ozarks, a group whose mission is to build community and inspire adventure through “engaging and flat out fun events for van-lifers, campers, and weekend warriors across the Ozark mountain region and beyond.”

In addition to the Fayetteville rally, the group will host a campout in Ponca, Arkansas on Nov. 5. They’ve also hosted events around the region in the past.

The event is free to attend and open to the public.

The show begins at 9 a.m. and will run until about noon.
