It’s a big weekend for live music at The Momentary.

In addition to hosting a free show tonight (Sept. 30) with Grace Potter, the venue will finally get to host their first installment of FreshGrass on Friday and Saturday (Oct. 1-2).

The lineup for this year’s festival includes some big names, including Old Crow Medicine Show, Billy Strings, Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue, Steep Canyon Rangers, Aoife O’Donovan & Noam Pikelny, Alison Brown, Flor de Toloache, Leyla McCalla, a Tribute to Sister Rosetta Tharpe with Felicia Collins, Smokey & the Mirror, and The Ozark Highballers.

FreshGrass has been held annually at MASS MoCA museum in North Adams, Massachusetts, and had announced plans to hold a second event at the Momentary last spring, but of course, we all know what happened in 2020. As a result, this weekend’s event will end up being the inaugural Arkansas installment of the festival.

In addition to the on-stage performances, the event will include workshops, a kids area, local food, jam sessions, and pop-up performances inside the Momentary.

Several health and safety measures will be in place for the event, including a vaccination or negative COVID-19 test requirement. More info on that is here.

A full lineup for this year’s festival is below.

Tickets to the event range from $70 for a Friday night pass ($56 for Momentary members) to $120 for a two-day pass. For more info, or to purchase tickets, visit themomentary.org.
