It’s homecoming week at the University of Arkansas, and the annual parade and pep rally are planned on Friday, Oct. 15 on Dickson Street in advance of the Razorbacks’ matchup with Auburn on Saturday.

The theme of this year’s homecoming celebration is “Celebrating 150 Years on the Hill.”

The parade will begin at 6 p.m., and make its way up Dickson Street from the intersection of Highland Avenue (near Central United Methodist Church) to campus and end at the Chi Omega Greek Theatre.

Several student organizations, local businesses, churches, civic groups, as well as the the Homecoming court, Razorback Marching Band, Spirit Squads and old Tusk himself will participate in the parade this year.

After that, the pep rally is scheduled for 7 p.m. at the Greek Theatre.

Other festivities in the works this year include an alumni awards celebration at the Town Center on Thursday, a Senior Walk Dedication for the class of 2019, a happy hour event with the Sprit Squads at the new Fowler Indoor Baseball Center, and of course, the homecoming football game versus Auburn on Saturday at 11 a.m.
