Local physicians to discuss state of the pandemic in online forum

The NWA Council will host an online forum featuring five local physicians discussing the state of the pandemic in Arkansas next week.

The forum, part of the council’s “Onward Ozarks” series, is set for 9 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 28 on Zoom. The forum will include panelists Sonal Bhakta, MD, Internal Medicine, Mercy; Michael Bolding, DO, Hospitalist, Washington Regional Medical Center; David Deschamps, MD, Maternal and Fetal Medicine, Mercy; Sheldon Riklon, MD, Family Medicine, University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences Northwest and Community Clinic; and Martha Sharkey, MD, Public Health Officer, City of Fayetteville.

The panel was developed in partnership with the Northwest Arkansas Council and its Health Care Transformation Division

The event will be moderated by Randy Wilburn, founder and host of the “I Am Northwest Arkansas” podcast.

Registration for the event is required before Monday, Oct. 25. The first 200 Arkansas residents to registrants for the event will receive a $10 Uber Eats Gift Card.
