Waxahatchee coming to Fayetteville in 2022

Katie Crutchfield a.k.a. Waxahatchee will perform in Fayetteville as part of her spring 2022 North American tour.

The singer-songwriter will play at George’s Majestic Lounge on Monday, April 18. Madi Diaz will open the show, which begins at 8:30 p.m.

Crutchfield released her latest album Saint Cloud on Merge Records about two weeks after COVID-19 lockdowns began in the United States.

It was named the No. 7 album of the year by Rolling Stone, the No. 2 album of the year by Pitchfork, and was included on over a dozen 50 Best Albums of 2020 lists, including NPR, Paste, Stereogum and more.

Advance tickets are $25 (plus fees) and go on sale Friday, Dec. 3 at Stubs.net. Day-of-show tickets are $30.

Local music promoter Roger Barrett announced the concert as part of his On the Map show series, which also includes upcoming performances from Mary Lattimore, Illuminati Hotties, Shame, Daniel Romano and more.
