Three local restaurants are hosting a food drive this month to help Fayetteville Public School students and families in need.
Local restaurants Theo’s, East Side Grill, and Southern Food Company announced plans to host a “Fill the Pantry” food drive to support take home meals distributed by the school system to families over the holidays.
From the Facebook post announcing the drive:
Hundreds of families with children in Fayetteville Public Schools qualify for the Free & Reduced Meal Program. During the Holiday break, students who are on the Free & Reduced Meal Program are sent home with 18-gallon tubs filled with food items, to ensure they receive the nutrition and food resources needed. Each year, we partner with the Fayetteville Public Schools to help assembles bins of food, to ensure no child goes hungry during the holidays.
All three restaurants will be accepting donations through Sunday, Dec. 12. Theo’s is located at 318 Campbell Ave, East Side Grill is at 1838 N Crossover Rd, and Southern Food Company is at 3575 W Wedington Dr #3.
The list of items needed include cereal, crackers, spaghetti sauce, peanut butter & jelly, dessert items, breakfast items, pasta, rice, mac and cheese, and canned veggies.
