Ten local arts and cultural organizations will receive $10,000 grants as part of their participation in a two-year professional development program by the Mid-America Arts Alliance.

The program, called ARt Connect cohort, is presented locally by Creative Arkansas Community Hub & Exchange (CACHE).

Participating organizations in Fayetteville include Art Ventures, Mount Sequoyah Center, Music Moves, and the Open Mouth Literary Center.

Regional organizations selected for the program include Arkansas Coalition of Marshallese (Springdale), Arkansas Public Theatre (Rogers), Latin Art Organization of Arkansas (Springdale), NWA Ballet Theatre (Bentonville), Ra-Ve Cultural Foundation (Bentonville), and Teen Action and Support Center (Rogers/Springdale).

The organizations will participate in the ARt Connect cohort to learn about three key topics: governance, finance, and community engagement, according to a press release issued Wednesday by the NWA Council.

The program “will fund a wide scope of projects including audiovisual upgrades, accounting support, client-based software, community events and accessibility,” according to the release.

CACHE is funded locally by the Northwest Arkansas Council and the Walmart Foundation.
