Walton Arts Center to host blood drive with live music

The Walton Arts Center in Fayetteville will host a blood drive in partnership with the American Red Cross from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 22.

The arts center will provide live entertainment for blood donors in attendance that day, including performances by pianist Lisa Auten, harpist Beth Stockdell, and cellist Christian Serrano-Torres.

The schedule of performances is as follows:
10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. – Lisa Auten, piano/keyboard
12:30-2 p.m. – Beth Stockdell, harp
2:30–4 p.m. – Christian Serrano-Torres, cello

COVID-19 safety measures will be in place, including temperature checks at the door, and all attendees will be required to wear a mask. Enhanced sanitation and cleaning practices will also be in place.

Donors are encouraged to schedule an appointment prior to arrival, officials said. Appointments can be made at redcrossblood.org.
