You guys look hungry for some restaurant news. Here are a couple nuggets for you, including info on a handful of places that have opened, closed, or plan to open soon in Fayetteville.

A Fayetteville Korean restaurant has moved to a new, larger location.
House of Taste, formerly located on Archibald Yell, has moved to the old Hoppin’ Johns/Noodles building at 3290 N Lee Ave.
The restaurant specializes in a variety of Korean and Asian-fusion dishes, including bulgogi, curry dishes, kimchi, and more.
According to their website, they are open daily from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. (closed on Tuesdays).
Tin Roof

Nashville-based bar and restaurant Tin Roof is planning to open a Fayetteville location soon.
Owners of the Nashville-based chain have leased the building at 430 W. Dickson Street, and plan to soon open a Fayetteville location in the space that was most recently occupied by Hog Haus Brewing Co.
The bar will host some touring live music shows, a lot of local music, songwriter nights, as well as showcases for up-and-coming acts from around the country, owner Bob Franklin told us recently.
In addition to the music, Tin Roof is also a restaurant, with a full menu including tacos, quesadillas, burgers, and other fare.
The building recently received a major renovation, but Franklin said there’s still quite a bit of work to be done before it’s ready for music and more.
If all goes well, Tin Roof could open sometime this spring.
641.DELI

A new cafe is open at the Fayetteville Public Library.
The new restaurant, called 641.DELI (a nod to the Dewey Decimal number for food and drink), is open from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.
The menu includes a variety of sandwiches, both cold and grilled, along with some salads, fried chicken tenders, and some snacks.
The deli also offers a unique beans and rice entree for $1 called the Dewey Decimal Special.
641.DELI is located on the southeast side of the library, and is accessible by its own entrance on that side of the building. The space is part of the library’s recent expansion.

Chi’s Baohouse

Dim sum is coming to Fayetteville.
Not anytime soon, though, so don’t get too hungry for it just yet.
A longtime Little Rock restaurant group plans to bring their new concept called Chi’s Baohouse to Fayetteville sometime in the next couple of years, managing member Jacob Chi told us recently.
The new fast-casual concept, created by the folks behind Chi’s Asian Cafe, Chi’s Chinese Cuisine, Lulu’s, Sushi Cafe, and other restaurants in Little Rock, will serve all-day dim sum, Taiwanese baos, noodle soups, and boba teas.
Jacob Chi told us the group will open their first Chi’s Baohouse restaurant in Little Rock next year, and will begin working on a Rogers location later that year, followed by Fayetteville. The group is still looking for a location for the Fayetteville restaurant.
“Being a new brand we are still researching who our core customer is so we’d like to place a location in Fayetteville around that demographic,” he said. “I would say 2023 or 2024 would be a good estimate for our arrival in Fayetteville.”
Jimmy’s Egg

The uptown location of Jimmy’s Egg in Fayetteville, located at 3931 N. Shiloh Drive in the Nelson’s Crossing Shopping Center, is closed according to a sign on the front door.
The restaurant originally opened in 2017, and specialized in egg dishes, omelettes, waffles, pancakes, and other standard breakfast fare along with burgers, sandwiches, and other lunch entrees.
The good news for fans of the restaurant is that there is some discrepancy as to whether the closure is permanent. The company’s website indicates it is a temporary closure, but the paper sign on the window of the restaurant states that the location is permanently closed. We reached out to the restaurant’s corporate office for more information and clarification on the status of the closure weeks ago, however, and didn’t receive a response.
Jimmy’s Egg fans can also still visit their other Fayetteville location at 2589 W. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. on the south side of town. According to the website, that location is open weekdays from 7 a.m. until 1 p.m., and on Saturday and Sunday from 7 a.m. until 2 p.m.
The Local Coffee Company

A new coffee shop has opened on Block Avenue.
The new shop is called The Local Coffee Company, and is located at 13 N Block Ave. in Fayetteville.
The shop doesn’t have a website yet that we can find, but from the looks of their Instagram account, they focus on the items you’d expect to find at a coffee shop.
According to their Google profile, they’re open weekdays from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m., on Saturday from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m., and closed on Sunday.
