FAYETTEVILLE — High School Principal Jay Dostal will resign after the end of the current school year to take a job in another state, according to Superintendent John L. Colbert.

Dostal has accepted the position of principal at Westside High School in Omaha, Nebraska. His new position is effective July 1.

Colbert said Dostal’s move will allow him to be closer to family and to become the principal of the high school where he graduated.

“We are grateful for the energy, expertise, and vision he brought in his time at Fayetteville High School,” said Colbert. “It has truly been a pleasure having Dr. Dostal as a part of our leadership team.”
