COVID-19 testing site opens at Washington County Fairgrounds

A mass COVID-19 drive-thru testing site has been established at the Washington County Fairgrounds.

The facility was created through a partnership between the NWA Council and the CDC, according to a press release issued this week.

The testing site officially opened on Feb. 1, though it will be closed through at least Friday, Feb. 4 due to the threat of winter weather. Once the snow clears, the testing facility will be open through Monday, Feb. 21.

Regular hours for the facility are 8 a.m. until 4 p.m., seven days a week, with 1,000 PCR tests available each day the clinic is open.

The tests are free, and officials say results will be ready between 48 and 72 hours after the tests are administered.

The Washington County Fairgrounds are located at 2537 North McConnell Ave. in Fayetteville.
