Fayetteville Public Schools closed for snow day Friday

After a couple days of online instruction, Fayetteville Public Schools finally decided to call Friday an old-fashioned snow day.

School officials on Thursday afternoon announced that all campuses would be closed on Friday, Feb. 4, and no online coursework would need to be completed for the day.

From the announcement:

Due to the winter weather and road conditions, Fayetteville Public Schools will be closed on Friday, February 4 for a snow day (no virtual learning). All buildings will be closed, and all activities are canceled.

With the lack of online instruction, however, the school year will need to be extended by one day through May 27.
