Weekend Flyer: Everything is Terrible, Huntertones, and more

Ready or not, here it comes. It’s Friday again, buds.

Longtime local musician Gary Hutchinson is turning 50 (again), and as he has for the past several years, will celebrate that occasion with a happy hour show at George’s. Later on, there’s a Freddy Mercury tribute featuring local artist Randall Shreve.

There’s a pretty unique show happening on Mount Sequoyah. Everything is Terrible!, a video and performance collective responsible for some of the internet’s most hilarious and bizarre videos, will perform their live show inside Clapp Auditorium. It starts at 7 p.m. Tickets are $15, available here.

High-energy, horn-driven band The Huntertones were in Fayetteville back in the fall at Walton Arts Center, and if you missed that, or if you want to see them again, you’ll get your chance on Friday night at Roots HQ on the square. Tickets are $30, available here.

It’s the last weekend to check out TheatreSquared’s current show The Mountaintop. The show is a reimagination of events the night before the assassination of the civil rights leader, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Here’s ticket info.

UA Theatre also has a show playing this weekend called The Moors. Tickets.

There’s a home gymnastics meet Friday night, as the Arkansas gymnastics team takes on Kentucky in Barnhill Arena. It starts at 6:45 p.m.

In jokes, Blue Collar Comedy Tour comedian Reno Collier will perform at The Grove Comedy Club in Lowell on Friday and Saturday night. Here’s more info.
