Fayetteville Public Schools moving to online learning again Thursday

Fayetteville Public Schools will move to online learning once again on Thursday, Feb. 24 due to hazardous road conditions, officials announced.

A winter storm hit the area on Wednesday morning, and brought freezing rain and sleet that is expected to continue into Thursday.

From the announcement:

We have made the decision to transition all Fayetteville Public Schools from in-person to online learning on Thursday, February 24 due to inclement weather and road conditions. Thursday will be considered an Alternative Method of Instruction (AMI) day.

School officials said that due to the potential for power outages resulting from the winter storm, all assignments will be able to be made up if necessary.
