A new electronic music festival is coming to the Momentary in October.

Specifics of the event, including the dates and lineup will be announced later, said Argeo Ascani, Momentary’s programmer of music and festivals.

Ascani also said venue officials are planning seven or eight summer concerts, and hinted that some of the performing artists would be very exciting.

“I guarantee you it is going to blow your mind,” he said. “You’ll want to get those tickets early once those are announced.”

Those announcements will begin in the next couple weeks, he said.

The Momentary has already announced the return of the Fresh Grass Festival on May 20-21, with headliners like Emmylou Harris, Margo Price, Sam Bush, Jerry Douglas, and others.

Officials on Tuesday also hinted that a third music festival is in the works.

The Momentary this weekend will celebrate its two-year anniversary with live music. Grammy-nominated artist Arooj Aftab will perform in the RØDE HOUSE at 8 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 25. Daedelus, Russel E.L. Butler, and DJ Afrosia will perform in the space on Saturday, Feb. 26.

Other previously announced live music events scheduled at the Momentary include Grouper on March 4 and Anna Meredith on April 2.
