Fayetteville Public Schools move to online learning again Friday

Fayetteville Public Schools will move to online learning once again on Friday, Feb. 25 due to hazardous road conditions, officials announced.

A winter storm hit the area on Wednesday morning, and brought freezing rain and sleet. More winter precipitation fell Thursday morning as well.

From the announcement:

We have made the decision to transition all Fayetteville Public Schools from in-person to online learning on Friday, February 25 due to inclement weather and road conditions. Friday will be considered an Alternative Method of Instruction (AMI) day.

School officials said that due to the potential for power outages resulting from the winter storm, all assignments will be able to be made up if necessary.
