Drag the old dog sled out of the storage unit, hook up your team of huskies, and yell “mush,” everyone. It’s the weekend.

There’s still a significant layer of ice on much of Fayetteville, but the main roads are pretty clear as of this morning. Still, anything on the list below (especially Friday night items) could be cancelled due to road conditions. It’s probably best to double check with the venue before heading out.

That said, there are some cool things scheduled to happen in and around Fayetteville this weekend.

Art Ventures NWA will host a reception for a new exhibit called “Art in Fashion” at Fayetteville Public Library on Friday night. Here’s a bit more info about the event.

For happy hour, George’s will host longtime local party band, Ultrasuede for an after-work show. After that, St. Louis-based band Aaron Kamm & The One Drops will perform on Friday night, and local funk outfit Funk Factory will perform on Saturday night. Here’s ticket info for George’s shows.

Saturday is Fat Saturday, and the bead crawl hosted by several businesses on Dickson Street is happening all weekend. You can collect beads and bring them in to the Piano Bar on Fat Tuesday next week for a weigh-in. Whoever collects the most will win a prize. Here’s more info.

Walton Arts Center will host SoNA for a performance on Saturday. The orchestra will perform their Continental Connections show featuring work by Sandeep Das. Here’s ticket info.

JJ’s Live has a big show on Friday night with Flatland Cavalry, and on Saturday, they’ll host a Van Halen tribute. Here’s ticket info to those shows.

Smoke & Barrel has an On the Map show on Saturday night featuring rockers Portrayal of Guilt, Anatomy and Bones of the Earth. Tickets.

The Black Owned Business Expo we told y’all about this week is happening on Saturday at The Apollo in downtown Springdale.

Up in Bentonville, the Momentary is celebrating their two year anniversary with a weekend of live music. On Friday, Grammy-nominated artist Arooj Aftab will perform, and there’s a dance party on Saturday with DJ’s Daedelus, Russell E.L. Butler, and DJ Afrosia. Here’s more.

If you need a laugh, TheatreSquared has a new comedy called Tiger Style playing through the weekend. Here’s more on that.

Also, The Grove Comedy Club in Lowell will host performances by comedian Greg Hahn this weekend.

In sports, the No. 18 Razorback men’s basketball team will take on No. 3 ranked Kentucky on Saturday at Bud Walton Arena. It’s a stripeout. It’s gonna be nuts in there. It’s a 1 p.m. tipoff.

That’s not even half of it. There’s more below. Have fun. Stay warm. Be safe, everyone.
