Cody Jinks, Cody Johnson added to Walmart AMP lineup

Cody Jinks / Cody Johnson

Two people named Cody have been added to the lineup at the Walmart AMP for this summer.

The first Cody, Cody Jinks (let’s call him Cody No. 1) will perform at the venue on Friday, May 27. Another Cody, Cody Johnson (Second Cody), will perform at the venue on Saturday, June 25.

Let’s talk first about what they have in common. Both Codys play country music. They both have last name’s that start with J, so it’s likely that they’ve both been called CJ at one time or another in their life. They’re both from Texas. They both have beards, though Cody No. 1’s beard is (sorry Second Cody) objectively more impressive.

Cody Jinks has been called the “biggest independent country artist on the planet.” He’ll be in town to promote his latest studio album, Mercy, released in late 2021. Jinks’ music has received over 2.5 billion lifetime streams, and he has sold over 1.8 million records over his career.

Tickets to Jinks performance on May 27 go on sale at noon on Friday, March 11 at amptickets.com. Ticket prices for this one have not been released just yet.

Cody Johnson has released eight studio albums. His latest, Human: The Double Album was released in November of last year, and includes the No. 1 US Country hit, ‘Til You Can’t. Other hits in Johnson’s catalogue include With You I Am, Nothin’ on You, and On My Way to You.

Tickets to Johnson’s performance range from $45-$100, and go on sale at noon on Friday, March 4 at amptickets.com.
