Dickson Street Pup Crawl set for April 30

Get pumped, puppy people. The Dickson Street Pup Crawl is coming back next month.

The event, which is like a regular pub crawl you can bring your dog to, is a benefit for Fayetteville Animal Services.

Registration for the event is $38.77 (including fees), and includes the price of the t-shirt, bandana, and access to drink specials at participating bars along the street for the day. One dog per person will be allowed to participate in the crawl.

A packet for participants will be available at the Fayetteville Animal Shelter (1640 S. Armstrong Ave.) before the event that includes shirts (for the people) bandanas (for the dogs), and information the event. The shelter is open Monday-Friday from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and on Saturday from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.

There is a maximum of only 275 registrants allowed, and no day-of registration will be available this year. Registration is now open at Eventbrite.com.

Participating establishments announced so far include Buster’s, Tony’s NY Style Pizza, The Amendment, C-4, and others.

New this year is a new ‘Top Dog’ trophy for the bar/restaurant with the best themed drink, as voted on by the participants of the crawl.

The crawl will run from around 2 p.m. until 6 p.m.
