Fayettevillle Public Schools move to online instruction Friday

Fayetteville Public Schools will move to online learning on Friday, March 11 due to winter weather in the forecast, officials announced Thursday evening.

From the announcement:

We have made the decision to transition all Fayetteville Public Schools from in-person to online learning on Friday, March 11 due to forecasted inclement weather and road conditions. Friday will be considered an Alternative Method of Instruction (AMI) day.

The National Weather Service out of Tulsa issued has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for all of eastern Oklahoma and western Arkansas for tonight into Friday. Forecasts call for 1-3 inches of snow and slick road conditions developing overnight and into Friday morning.
