Snow expected through Friday afternoon in Fayetteville

A winter storm could bring up to three inches of accumulating snow Friday in Fayetteville.

Snowfall began at around 7 a.m. Friday, and forecasters are expecting precipitation to continue through the late afternoon or early evening hours.

The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory through 6 p.m., and a hazardous weather outlook that predicts wind chills in the single digits late Friday and early Saturday.

In Fayetteville, a high temperature of 30 and a low of 15 is expected on Friday, and a high of 42 and low of 31 is expected on Saturday. Temperatures could reach 60 degrees on Sunday.
